CURSE OF THE FROGLORD

Posted by Nabella - January 8th, 2022

I don't think this has been uploaded to Newgrounds, yet. After about 3 years of seemingly no activity, Ian Miller graces the internet with another great cartoon. In the end credits, it also shows he worked with an animator named Yuri Fain to finish it!

Maybe this means we'll be treated to new stuff sooner!

Edit 3: I rewatched Captain Tardigrade 3 and it turns out he's worked with this Yuri person before. How interesting!

This is fricking amazing!!!!
How did I never heard of it before???
Jesus I cant believe the animation lasted for just 6 minutes, it felt like a full 22 minute cartoon

This cartoon was barely uploaded an hour ago!! I got lucky to see it in my YouTube feed early!!!

P.S. watch Ian's other animations!! They're gross but still so very smooth!

“3 years of inactivity”

Yup, animation takes forever, especially if you’re basically working alone. For all we know, it was actually 3 years of constant activity that couldn’t be shown on YouTube until it was completely finished.

Finally, this makes me scared of how long my current animation project is going to take, considering it’s going to be two minutes longer than this!

Best of luck to your project, friend!!

Also, LOL, that's a great point. There's like a hundred animation channels I'm subscribed to that are seemingly inactive, but are probably hustling 24/7 on their passion projects.

Okay, I actually watched it and technically it’s animated by two people—still impressive they got a 6-minute cartoon out at all.

Oh, you're right! I should probably edit the news post to reflect that, whoops!

@Nabella It’s somewhat disappointing that the YouTube algorithm and the “TikTok” attention span/mentality in general doesn’t favor animators. Unless you’re following animators that basically just post low-effort memes all the time, you really need to learn to be patient.

You are definitely doing a service by exposing me to all these great animation channels that YouTube won’t promote just because they can’t upload frequently enough for the algorithm. Also, thanks for the support! Even people who animate tend to forget how time-consuming animation really is!

A shame, yeah, but people manage.

I'll try and scout more nice stuff when I can.

Congrats on the UOTD!

Thanks! Also thank you for your help again, LOL!!

Pretty good

cool animation but NABELLA WHERE DAFUG ARE U!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! U HAVENT POSTED IN FOREVER ARGHH!!!!
:(

I'll be back soon, I swear.
