I'm always pleasantly surprised when you manage to stretch out 15 to 30 second loop into a two minute song! The clean vocals clash with the noise drums and squarewave instruments but I can still feel the rhythm going on as you rap! I'm really wearing out the word "should" in a lot of my replies regarding creative endeavours, but I really should look into making small musical sketches with more natural sounding instruments, lol. If you're going to keep perusing my loops every Inktober, I might as well supply you with an ample variety.

Cyberdevil responds:

Thank you man. :) The fact that it does indeed loop always makes it a bit easier. And that it's still varied enough that you don't easily hear beginning and end, and so it really feels like a full-fledged instrumental even when you loop it - sign of thorough composition too!

Hehe well you should do anything you really want to do. :) I personally really like this chiptune style, and I like the way it contrasts with the vocals, and that it's totally different from all other instrumentals I usually rap to, though it is admittedly a little tricky to get the balance right between loop and vocals, if one's just a little too punchy or loud it's like they separate, upped the reverb a bit more than I usually do here as to blend 'em better, I think it worked?

Whatever instrumentation you end up using for your creations though I'll happily jump on one or two at least every October! ;) Always fun. Appreciate the stuff you do good dude!

What? Again? Dude, you flatter me. I wish I knew how to be constructive and write a review that isn't just praise, but I'm too stoked about this, this is great!

Cyberdevil responds:

Just praise is totally fine man! XD And of course I need to get at least one of your crisp chipstep bits in on this year too! Anything that inspires a verse; evokes some sort of emotional response or mood's great IMO. This one pretty much wrote itself. Thanks for this!

Dude!! Rapping to the bass and beat of my song of all things!! What a pleasant surprise!!

I'm very surprised you went through with this given the sound compression of the original!! Ah!!

Cyberdevil responds:

I must say your response made my day too. XD

Nevermind compression and all it's the energy it's all about! And beat. You had a good one going with this one, was fun to work with. And generous attribution terms - no need to ask, surprise attack! ;)

I thought this would include more screaming.

PinkShirtDude responds:

that's gonna be the next one, a lot of screaming and pain :)

Apart from introducing this record man to Hunie Pop, this was honestly pretty tame.

Edit: Okaaaay, I'm hiding my little score, but only for you. ;)

Wandaboy responds:

hide your score :)

Damn, if this was 6 years ago, what do your latest tracks sound like? You're hitting that area of modern chiptune I have a weakness for. Similar to the soundtrack in VVVVVV y'know?

M4g1cP1x3l responds:

Glad you like it, friend! Such praise, I really like that OST. You can listen to my recent stuff on SC or Bandcamp, or wait til I'm done uploading all my stuff here, slooowly. It's just I have 80+ tracks lol

The transitions with the Pac-man arcade cabinet noises sounded very cool. I really like how it builds up over time, good stuff.

RiddleRiddleMusic responds:

Fun fact: I didn't use pac-man sounds for the transitions, those are actually samples of the "Krusty Krab Pizza" song, but a bit bitcrushed. Thanks!

Straight groovy, yo.

RedFalcon95 responds:

I forgot this was the unmixed version haha. Ill be posting an album on here soon. Cheers~!
